Otley Parish Council is registered with the UK data protection regulator (Information Commissioners Office) as a data controller we are legally responsible for ensuring your contact details and policy information are processed and protected in accordance with data protection and privacy laws.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), came into effect on 25th May 2018. The new regulations will not change the way we use your personal information. The Parish Council are taking steps towards full compliancy and as part of this have up dated the Privacy Notice.
In practice the Parish Council holds minimal personal information. However the Privacy Notice provides clarity on:
What personal information we hold and the legal basis for how we use it
Why we need your data and who has access to it
Details of who to contact if you have any concerns
